Here at Evite, we send a few different kinds of emails to users and guests. We'll provide a breakdown and explanation of these emails below:

Invitation Emails: These are emails that you receive from hosts. These are usually sent from family, friends, or business colleagues, and contain a link to the invitation on our site.

These emails will not have an "Unsubscribe" link, as they are not sent to you from a marketing or promotional list. However, if you are not familiar with the host or do not wish to receive future invitations from them, you can feel free to click the "Block this Host" link at the bottom of the page to prevent them from sending you future invitations. (see below).

Transactional Emails: These are emails that you are sent as a result of RSVP'ing to an invitation. They can be emails regarding another guest's RSVP, a comment left by the host or another guest, photo's uploaded to the invitation's feed, or other activities.

These emails also do not have an "Unsubscribe" link, as they not sent to you from a marketing or promotional list. Rather, they are as a result of you RSVPing or interacting with a particular invitation. If you do not wish to receive these kinds of emails, you can click the "Settings" tab on the invitation to disable them.

Promotional/Marketing Emails: These emails are promotional in nature and typically has news or content about Evite products. You can sign up for these emails directly through our site, or by using the checkbox provided in the RSVP window of invitations that you receive.

These are the only emails with an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom. This is because you've received these emails as a result of being opted in to receive these promotional emails.
