# Cancel Event

**Canceling an event on iOS**

**How do I cancel my event from the iOS app?**

1. Log in to the Evite app and tap **My Events (calendar icon).**
2. Locate your Invitation, then tap the three dots in the top right corner.
3. Select **Cancel Event** and confirm by tapping **Yes, cancel.**
4. When prompted, tap **Yes, notify guests** to send them a cancellation message — or skip if you'd rather reach out another way.

**A few things to know after canceling:**

* Once the event is canceled, you won't be able to message guests through Evite. If you have more to say, do it before you cancel or follow up directly.
* Guests will still have their original Invitation email. When they tap to view it, they'll see that the event has been canceled.
* If you reinstate the event later, existing RSVPs stay as they were — they won't reset.
