# Free Invitation - Asking for Payment

**Why is my free Invitation asking for payment?**

**I chose a free design — why am I being charged?**\
A Premium upgrade was added to your Invitation during the design process. Any of the following trigger a charge, even on a free design:

* Envelope, stamp, or liner
* Background
* Effects and reveals
* Host photo gallery
* Backside text
* RSVP By Date
* Ad removal
* Gifting suggestions removal

**How do I remove the upgrade and send it for free?**\
\
On the checkout page select the **Downgrade to free** option.

Your Invitation will go back to the free version with the upgrades removed.
