# Host Edit Guest Response

**Editing a guest's RSVP**

**Can I change a guest's RSVP on their behalf?**\
Yes. If someone texts you their answer, calls it in, or just tells you at the grocery store, you can update their RSVP directly from your guest list.

**How do I edit a guest's RSVP?**\
Go to your Manage Event page, open your guest list, find the guest, and update their status. Changes save immediately.

**What RSVP statuses can I set?**\
You can mark a guest as attending, not attending, or maybe. Same options your guests see when they respond themselves.

**Will the guest be notified if I change their RSVP?**\
No. Updating a guest's RSVP doesn't trigger a notification to them — so no awkward "we updated your status" email landing in their inbox.

**What if a guest wants to change their own RSVP later?**\
They can. A guest's ability to update their own response isn't affected by any changes you make on your end. If they have a change of plans, they can go back to their original Invitation and resubmit.

**Can I add a guest who never received an Invitation and still log their RSVP?**\
Yes. Add them to your guest list first, then update their RSVP manually. Useful for tracking responses from people you invited by word of mouth.\
