# How to RSVP

Open the invitation, pick your answer at the bottom of the screen, add your headcount. That's the whole thing.

#### Do I need an Evite account to RSVP?

No. The link the host sent you is all you need — open it, answer, done. An account is useful if you'd rather keep all your Invitations in one place, and it's what lets you RSVP from the app.

#### Can I change my RSVP after I've already responded?

Yes. Plans change. You can update your response any time before the event date.

1. Open the Invitation link you received.
2. Select Change RSVP at the bottom of your screen.
3. Choose your updated response and guest count.
4. Select Continue to save.

#### How do I say how many people I'm bringing?

If the host turned on party size, you'll see a guest count field right after you pick your answer. Some hosts split it into adults and children — enter each separately when you see both.

If there's no field at all, the host is tracking one seat per guest, so just answer for yourself and message them about anyone else.

#### Why can't I add as many guests as I want?

Hosts can cap how many additional people each guest brings, up to nine. If you've hit the limit, that's the host's setting, not a glitch. Ask them directly if you need one more seat.

#### Can I leave the host a note?

Yes. There's a message field with your RSVP — good for the dietary heads-up, the "we'll be about twenty minutes late," or the offer to bring ice. Your note appears alongside your response on the guest list.

#### My name is spelled wrong on the guest list. Can I fix it?

Yes — no need to track down the host.

1. Open your Invitation link.
2. Select your RSVP response. (Already replied? Select Change RSVP first.)
3. Click the pencil icon next to your name.
4. Make your edits and select Continue to save.

#### The RSVP deadline passed. Can I still reply?

Depends on the host. Some set a hard cut-off so responses close on a set date; others leave RSVPs open past it. If yours is closed, the host can still add your response by hand — send them a message.

#### I clicked my link and it says I'm not on the guest list.

That message means the host removed you from the guest list, so the link no longer opens the event details. Only the host can add you back — Evite can't do it for them. If it looks like a mistake, reach out to them directly.

#### Can I take myself off a guest list?

Not directly — guests can't edit the guest list. You have three options:

* Ask the host to remove you.
* Email <support@evite.com> with the event link and ask to be taken off.
* Use the Block Host link at the bottom of your Invitation email or text, which stops that host from contacting you through Evite going forward.
