# How to Send Invitation

After selecting and customizing your design, you will input your event details and choose any add-on's and proceed to the review step. After you've glanced over your invitation draft, you'll complete the invitation and then you'll go to the Add Guests step.

#### Does it cost anything to send?

Free designs cost nothing to send. Premium designs carry a charge based on how many guests you're inviting — look for the purple crown icon in the gallery.

One thing worth knowing before you start decorating: backgrounds, effects, envelopes, liners, and stamps are all Premium features. Add any one of them to a free design and the Invitation becomes Premium — which also unlocks the rest of them at the same price.

| Package | Guests | Price |
| --------- | ---------------- | ---------- |
| Silver | Up to 12 | $17.99 |
| Gold | Up to 30 | $36.99 |
| Platinum | Up to 75 | $68.99 |
| Diamond | Up to 750 | $99.99 |
| Evite Pro | Up to 2,500 each | $249.99/yr |

Packages cover a single event. Evite Pro is an annual subscription covering unlimited Invitations at up to 2,500 guests apiece.

#### What are my options for adding guests?

Five, all on the Add Guests page under More ways to add:

* Type email addresses or phone numbers straight into the box.
* Use Past Guest Lists to pull from an event you've already hosted.
* Search Address Book for your saved Evite contacts.
* Import from Google to bring in your Google contacts.
* Upload File for an Excel spreadsheet.

Free Invitations hold up to 750 guests. Evite Pro raises that to 2,500.

#### Can I send by text instead of email?

Yes — add guests by phone number and send the Invitation as a text, from desktop, mobile browser, or the app. Three things to know first:

* Text Invitations work for U.S. and Canada numbers only. Use email or a shareable link for guests abroad.
* Every phone number needs a name attached — you can't send to a bare number.
* Your texts arrive from short code `296-94`, so tell guests to look for that.

#### What if I don't have someone's email or number?

Use the shareable link. It's one link that works anywhere — text, group chat, social, your own email — and lets people view and RSVP without a personal Invitation. Go to My Invitations, find your event, click Manage Event, then Copy Link.

Two gotchas: don't paste the URL from your browser's address bar, because that's your host link, not the guest one. And guests who arrive by link won't show up on your guest list until they've actually RSVPed — so a short list early on isn't a bad sign.

#### Can I add someone to a co-host role?

Yes. A co-host gets admin access — adding and removing guests, editing the Invitation, messaging everyone. Useful when you're splitting the load.

1. Go to My Invitations and find your event.
2. Click the three dots to the right of it and select Edit Details.
3. Scroll to Host Details and select + Co-Host.
4. Enter their name and email, then click Done.

They'll get a confirmation email and need to accept before they have access. Co-hosts can't remove the primary host, so your event stays yours.

#### I started one and can't find it again.

Drafts save to your account automatically. Log in, click your photo or initials in the top right, select My Invitations, and scroll down to your drafts — or search by title. Click Edit Draft to pick up where you left off.

If it's still not there, check which account you're in. Multiple Evite accounts across different email addresses is the usual explanation.

#### Can I change the details after I've sent it?

Yes, any time before the event date. From My Invitations, click the three-dot menu on your event and select Edit Details. Event details are edited on the right side of the page; Edit Design takes you to the text on the Invitation itself.

If the change affects both — a new start time that also appears on the design — update it in both places, or guests will see the old one.

#### Can I add more guests after sending?

Yes, right up to the day of. Go to your Manage Event page, open the guest list, and add them. They'll receive the same Invitation everyone else got, event details and RSVP link included.

Worth a glance at your existing list first, so nobody gets invited twice. It happens.

#### A guest says it never arrived.

Resend it to them individually: Manage Event → View Guest List → click their name → Resend. A green confirmation appears in the bottom right when it goes through.

Resending is one guest at a time, once per hour each.

#### Do I have to chase people for replies?

No — that part's handled. Evite schedules one reminder 2 days before your event, or 2 days before your RSVP deadline if you've set one. It goes to everyone except guests who replied No.

You can add, move, or delete reminders under Manage Event → Reminders, up to five of them. Create your Invitation inside 7 days of the event and no reminder is scheduled automatically, so set one yourself.

Reminder text isn't editable. When you want to say something specific — parking, what to bring, the gate code — use Messages instead.
